Dead To Me
So it's four days hanging around the boss and pimping books. Still, I'll have some downtime in Dallas and hope to escape any mandatory work fun that might be thrown my way.

Got in some time on Resident Evil 4. Pretty damn good so far.. more later.

So.. I had my first full fledged review posted at gamecritics.com for the Taiko Drumming game. I didn't love it, but jesus fuck some of the forum folk tore me quite the new asshole. Go read it and check it out.

Some of their comments don't make sense anymore as I did do a few factual corrections to the review. I gotta tuffen up my skin, because I don't like fucking up. I realize some of the forum folk just love to hear themselves talk, but back off. Some can't BELIEVE that I didn't like the game... oh well. Get used to bitching about my reviews, I guess.

Not nearly the nurturing experience I get when I post a review to The Greenman Review... will have to be a bit more concise. Can't be a brilliant journalist in a day, I guess. And of course if any of you want to post to the forum at gamecritics.com on my Taiko review saying for them to back off and that you found my review informative, well I wouldn't be upset to hear it (not that I'd encourage stuffing the ballot box, mind you).

You have no shame. None at all. Hope your trip isn't too boring.

I have enjoyed Resident Evil 4 a great deal, but I find it overly difficult in some places. There have been a could points (one of them I'm still at now) where it has taken me dozens and dozens of retrys to get past. Have you made it yet to the house where you're holed up and fighting off wave after wave of zombies? That was my first problem spot. (I won't tell you of my current one, for risk of spoilers.)

It's not the boss fights. Those I expect to have to try a couple times -- and the one I've gone through so far wasn't all that bad. And in between these spots the game continues to be not only playable but fun.

Maybe I lack l33t skillz, but I wish there were a way, on these frustrating spots, to just push a button that says "I can't do this, let me move on so I can get back to enjoying the game."
