Some people just need to relax. I don't understand the hatred JK inspires. I dont' understand people who can get so worked up over other people's reading material.

I've heard people say they'd rather have kids illterate that reading Harry Potter. How ignorant is that?

i used to be so completely and totally against harry potter. i used to be like that guy, but perhaps lacking in some of his vitriol. perhaps. but i read them, and i loved them, and fuck anyone if they want to shit all over people who read and like them. and is it so highly unlikely that people who read lewis carroll (you'd think for being such a pedant, he wouldn't do such a plebeian thing as misspelling a revered author's name) and roald dahl would also read rowling? 'cause i do, on all counts.

and also, having had to work the entire harry potter weekend, including the sale on midnight between fri/sat, it wasn't that fucking bad, as far as retail goes. at least people were excited about it. i'd take a harry potter release day over any christmas holiday retail day anyyyy time. it was fun, i talked with a lot of cute and cool kids and i was enjoying myself and it showed. god forbid anyone should have fun...

seems like people today are so constipated with hatred for anything not meeting their standards, that when other people are actually enjoying themselves, they feel the need to shit their superior diarrhea all over it. fuck that noise.
