Yoinked from the lovely-no-matter-what-weight-but-don't-w orry-she's-skinny-now
kelly_swails , I figured I'd do this quick little meme to see what I'd put down. It's all for me, but because I'm a giver, it's all for you too.
1. When I was five or six, my dad used to take me to see his biker buddies at The Wayside Bar. I used to get chased (rather slowly, given his hame) by The Fatman and I'd hide under the pool table. Later in life, the bar became my friends house and we used to party there... a lot.
2. In third grade for show and tell I came to school as Spider-man and acted out one of those mini-books that came with a record and you turn the page at the sound of the chimes. It was an exciting tale about him battling Draco the Dragon, who came down from being the constellation. I think there may have been year long ridicule, but I seem to have blocked it out.
3. When I had my tonsils out, I remember my mom playing Monopoly with me. My dad worked second or third shift which meant he wasn't home much in the evenings, so the two of us played alone. In order to get me talking after my surgery, she wouldn't let me buy property unless I spoke.
4. Same time as the last, I remember my mom teaching me to play guitar. First song I learned was American Pie. I still have some handwritten chords and lyrics of hers. Three years later she was died. The things I have left of hers aren't much, but they're all I have.
5. My icon picture was taken at my first Disney World trip in 76. I'm wearing a sombero and plastic handcuffs right outside of Pirates of the Carribean. I've been back more times than I can count, I think in the hopes of finding that look on my face again.
