So the book is just about a month old right now, and I've done several signings in that time, most of them 30-50 books signed at each, but today.. lordy, I have found new depths of physical pain.

Today, I was supposed to sign for two hours, but it ended up closer to three because people kept a-comin'.  I ended up signing over 300 copies in a day.. granted they were all give aways so it's not like it was a crazy sale or anything, but its good press among the B&N College management.

Thing is, I didn't stand the entire time, and when I finally went to, I nearly fell over... my legs just didn't want to respond.  And I had no idea it had been three hours, time just flew in a blur of faces and names.  Luckily they all had nametags so I didn't have to ask them all!

I was exhausted through and through because for three hours straight I had to be "on", which is just numbing.  I know, some of you are thinking "poor whiny author, shut the fuck up!" but I'm not complaining, just reporting on the state of how my body and mind are adjusting to the long haul.  It's all new to me.  I could sleep a thousand years, but I've got the show to finish, sales conference in Tuscon, then signing at New York Comiccon.  Then I shall sink back to the bottom of the ocean for my thousand year slumber till the Awakened Ones rouse me...
