I thought I was free. I thought my wee brain would have a break until Feb 5th when I got all my beta reads back. Then it would be crunch time from the 5th to the 26th making changes to turn in book two to my editor.
This was supposed to be my mental down time. However, such is not the case.
On the train home tonight, I had to whip out the notebook (much nicer that what usually gets whipped out on the subway in New York, I assure you). Ideas won't stop coming for book three, for the screenplay, for one of my short stories that is due in soon... I can't stop my brain! I want time offffff!
Oh, and for about two seconds I got to actually hold a finished copy of the book. I got a little weepy. Then I manned up, of course.. and umm... kicked a puppy... or maybe a ferret. I hear they're popular these days...

I hope you can relax your brain soon, though!
