That is actually a really neat way to do things! I've never heard of a writer using Excel, but that's actually quite clever.

The Dead to Me Bible must be quite interesting :P

Hey cool! Thanks!
I love getting a peek at how other people work so I can see how they do things.

I've got a bunch of Word files to keep my notes ('cause the paper bomb blast area generated by all the paper notes was incredible) but that way has been a little unwieldy at times. I actually use Excel for some of my book data already *is also geeky* and now I'll see if I can make even more use of it because those workbooks are compact, tidy and they rock. I started filling out the timelines in Excel yesterday, sort of like a digital storyboard without the need for blank wall/floor space and with no feline 'assistance'.

I just started exploring the idea of putting in the key info (like where the heck they are)at the beginning of each chapter or scene (memory like a steel sieve, rusted) and that seems to be a help.

Dude, I love to see a screen shot or two of your spread sheet and "Bible" (sans spoilery bits).
