Know thy enemy

The deep seated animosity I bear towards New York Times Bestselling fantasy author Patrick Rothfuss is no secret. The origins of said animosity may be, but alas, that is a story for another day...

Clearly I have the goods on this gnomish-looking freak of an author, elsewise why would he mention me at his blog?

Hmmm, I'd argue that Rothfuss looks more like a cheery Dwarf than a Gnome. Then again, I'm used to Gnomes from World of Warcraft and they're creepy as hell...and Pat's too cuddly to think of as being creepy.

You could argue that Mr. Rothfuss looks more like a Dwarf than a Gnome, but you would be wrong. How do I know? See the evidence below when he crashed the Penguin Halloween party. Please note that not only is he cradling my much loathed ceramic gnome, but that his outfit is part of his every day attire.

You know, with glowing endorsements like this I really need to read Hines' work. And will you beat Pat to the punch with your next book? Maybe that'll take him down a notch (not that I'm looking for that - after all, you're both competing to be my next hero).
