I don't post as often as I would like between work, writing, life, but on a day that gets split between commercialism and cynicism, I'd like to offer a bit of sincerity for a change.
On a day that's put aside for love, I would like you all to know that I do indeed love you. Whether you comment often or are a lurker, I'm thankful for having you around.
I've been writing professionally (if not full time yet) for about five years, and in that time the ways in which we can interact have grown.
At one time we might only have met at a convention somewhere across the country, but now thanks to Livejournal, Facebook, twitter, etc, there are connections I never could have imagined. We've connected through books and words and laughter and the emotions stirred up within...and for what you bring to the table, I thank you.
I write because I want to entertain, to share the stories in my brain meats, and you've made it all so much more than that. Every day we twist and turn through each other's lives, and for that I'm very thankful.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled cynicism :P

awwww. So sweet!
For the record, we met the old fashioned way - at GenCon, forever ago. I vaguely remember meeting this guy who had a killer sense of humor and wanted to write... but then thinking, who the hell is this Anton guy who friended me on LJ, and why do I care about his trout?
But I loves me some Simon, now that I've figured out the correct punctuation of (Anton's Trout) and I still love your wicked sense of humor.
Hope you survived VD day without catching anything more than a movie or new fat cells!
